Gravity:
Worth or Worthless?
Have you ever wondered what will
happen to the world if there is no gravity? People can’t see gravity with their bare eyes and thus they
don’t even notice what role does gravity plays in their lives. Generally,
gravity is a force of attraction between objects that is due to their masses
(Christina, 2011). If there is no gravitational force, everything would be
completely flat and featureless, and definitely this may cause troubles towards
human being, natural surroundings, and also non-living things. In addition,
without the force of gravity acting on all objects, there is nothing keeping
human being attached to the earth.
There are several effects
towards human being in daily life if there is no gravity especially to perform
daily routine. It must be difficult for people because they cannot eat in a
proper condition and sleep comfortably on the bed. There will be no more muscle
building because everything is floating and weightless hence people have no
power to fight against those forces that act towards them (Christina, 2011). In
fact, people cannot perform multitasking jobs and it would more difficult
compared to a world with gravitational forces.
It will as well affect the natural
surroundings if the world has no gravity. For example, forest, ocean, skies,
mountain, dessert, pond/lake and rivers will rip apart from their places. Thus,
it will also affect living things in them including aquatic life, corals, sands
and other creatures. Moreover, atmosphere will disappear and it will cause
death for living mechanism such as trees that cannot growth. In fact, the
animals cannot live in a proper condition (Christina, 2011), logically, animals
also need gravity for doing its daily routine for example, searching for their
foods. If there is no gravitational force, the animals also floating and is it difficult
to them for moving, eating, or sleeping.
Next is the consequence that non-living things
will experience if there is no gravity. Varieties of non-living things such as
buildings, houses, roads, vehicles, bridges, and others cannot attach to the
earth. These non-living things will be bumping everywhere and they cannot be
built properly. In addition, the entire mineral inside the earth will drift
apart and it does not in a proper state (Christina, 2011). Thus, the mineral
also will be floating around and bumping everywhere.
Without
gravity, the earth will affected toward the non-living things,natural
surroundings, and human being in daily life. Everything on earth and above the
earth would be moving freely, and it’s affected to the land, ocean, airspace
and definitely human too. Any daily activities will be so extremely difficult
to perform and it can make live become complicated. Overall, the gravity is one
of the most important fundamental of the universe.
